We’ll be fully transparent: One of the things both of us struggle with time and again is being really consistent with exercise.
With working out, and with anything that’s good for you, you always know you need to do it … but it’s not always easy to work up the motivation when you’re not suffering as a result of not doing it. So, because we struggle with this as much as anyone, we’re making it this week’s #ClarityGem …
THIS WEEK, WE WANT YOU TO KNOW:
APPLY IT TO YOUR OWN LIFE:
It’s easy to skip out on exercise when you aren’t struggling with your weight. It’s easy to not look for jobs when your current job is so-so (but not great). It’s easy to put off making a big decision today, if not deciding isn’t making your life any worse.
What’s hard? Struggling to lose 50 pounds. Searching for jobs when you’re up-to-your-neck overwhelmed and miserable. Deciding what direction to take when every choice feels wrong, and the clock is ticking.
Even a smidgeon of proactive movement now (physical or otherwise!) will go a long way toward saving you a ton of trouble down the road.
“In spite of warnings, nothing much happens until the status quo becomes more painful than change.” – LJ Peter #ClarityGems
You can bypass a lot of future angst by deciding right now that the status quo won’t work for you anymore. What will you decide?
TELL US HOW YOU TOOK ACTION:
Use #ClarityGems on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook to share how you’re applying this week’s Gem to your own life, and to see how other people are being inspired.
WHAT #CLARITYGEMS ARE ALL ABOUT:
Sometimes it’s just better to avoid long blog posts and cut straight to the point!
Think of #ClarityGems as your weekly shake of the good ‘ole Magic 8 Ball … you never know what might bubble up, and how it might be exactly what you need to hear today.
And instead of just a beautiful, inspirational, and shareable image (which is a nice start), we’re giving you some quick thoughts about how to apply it to your life … because inspiration without action is pretty, but kind of anti-climatic.
Tweet it, share it on Instagram, or forward it along to someone who needs to hear it today … and tag us (@ClarityonFire) to let us know how this Gem applies to you!
Much Love,
Rachel + Kristen
So true: Its true that most people do not change unless they hurt enough that they have too.
