This is your friendly random reminder that we’re all just hurtling through absolute darkness on a wet ball, together …
THIS WEEK, WE WANT YOU TO KNOW:
APPLY IT TO YOUR OWN LIFE:
“Our goal should be to live life in radical amazement … get up in the morning and look at the world in a way that takes nothing for granted. Everything is phenomenal; everything is incredible; never treat life casually. To be spiritual is to be amazed.” — Abraham Heschel
There are more planets in the Universe than there are individual grains of sand on Earth.
We once saw an image and couldn’t reach an agreement about whether it was blood flowing through veins as seen under a microscope … or a river delta as photographed from outer space.
There are more atoms in a single glass of water than there are glasses of water in all of the oceans combined.
Astrophysicists are projecting that there are likely ten-to-the-twenty-second power habitable planets in the Universe, and ten-to-the-thirty-second power species of humanoids in the Universe.
And you’re one of them.
The very fact that you’re here, floating around on one of those proverbial grains of sand … it’s incredible, isn’t it?
Sometimes — in the midst of traffic and waiting in line at Starbucks and replying to a snippy email from someone — it’s easy to overlook the fact that most of the things we get all worked up about don’t matter.
How often do you (and we) forget to be amazed by the fact that we’re even here?
And how much easier could it be to let shit go if you remembered, every once in a while, to stop and stand in “radical amazement” of life itself?
Just a thought.
Our goal should be to live life in radical amazement — Abraham Heschel #ClarityGems

WHAT #CLARITYGEMS ARE ALL ABOUT:
Sometimes it’s just better to avoid long blog posts and cut straight to the point!
Think of #ClarityGems as your weekly shake of the good ‘ole Magic 8 Ball … you never know what might bubble up and how it might be exactly what you need to hear today.
And instead of just a beautiful, inspirational, and shareable image (which is a nice start), we’re giving you some quick thoughts about how to interpret it … because inspiration without action is pretty, but kind of anti-climatic.
Tweet it, share it on Instagram, or forward it along to someone who needs to hear it today … and tag us (@ClarityonFire) to let us know how this Gem is inspiring you!
Much Love,
Kristen + Rachel
