Steve Jobs. Sheryl Sandberg. Mark Zuckerberg. Oprah Winfrey … some people just make big waves. It’s mind-blowing to think that the vision of one person can end up revolutionizing the way that life itself is lived.
But what if revolution isn’t your style? This #ClarityGem goes out to all of the quiet rebels out there …
[hr style=”1″ /]
THIS WEEK, WE WANT YOU TO KNOW:
APPLY IT TO YOUR OWN LIFE:
Loud revolutionaries get a lot of credit. And mostly for good reason … after all, we need people who are willing to start movements, take huge risks, and go about the business of revolutionizing the world.
But most people aren’t wired that way. Which means that many people fall into the trap of thinking that if they can’t do something big and seemingly important, then they can’t make much of a difference.
To put this bluntly … that’s a load of crap.
Maybe you speak up in a meeting among your superiors. Maybe you travel by yourself to Europe for 5 weeks. Maybe you wear jeans to work even though the stifled corporate culture frowns upon it. Maybe you ask to work from home one day per week, even though “there’s no policy for that here.” {All of these, by the way, are real things that our clients have done with success.}
Whatever it is … quiet rebellion is vital to the world. Any act of standing up for what you believe in, questioning “the way things are,” or advocating for what you deeply desire — especially when you’re not on the side of popular opinion — is valuable to the world.
Why? Because in giving yourself permission to act according to what you believe in or desire, you set an example that allows other people to do the same. And that, my friends, is revolutionary.
A quiet rebel is just as valuable as a loud revolutionary. #ClarityGems

WHAT #CLARITYGEMS ARE ALL ABOUT:
Sometimes it’s just better to avoid long blog posts and cut straight to the point!
Think of #ClarityGems as your weekly shake of the good ‘ole Magic 8 Ball … you never know what might bubble up and how it might be exactly what you need to hear today.
And instead of just a beautiful, inspirational, and shareable image (which is a nice start), we’re giving you some quick thoughts about how to interpret it … because inspiration without action is pretty, but kind of anti-climatic.
Tweet it, share it on Instagram, or forward it along to someone who needs to hear it today … and tag us (@ClarityonFire) to let us know how this Gem is inspiring you!
Much Love,
Rachel + Kristen
