So, not to be overly judgmental, but you know when parents brag about how smart and talented and cute their children are? They’re like, “I know she’s my child, but she really is incredibly smart. I swear! I’m not just saying that because I’m her mom!”
Do you ever believe people when they say that? Or are you kind of like us and secretly roll your eyes and think, “Yeah, yeah, we’re sure she’s a genius!”
Um, well, as it turns out we now have a bit more empathy for those kinds of parents because that’s exactly what it’s like to have an online program like the Passion Plan Virtual Experience.
It’s really hard to talk about something you created and not sound kind of … biased. Because, well, you are biased, and there’s no denying it!
Neither of us are the kind of people who invest in things spontaneously, and we’re naturally very skeptical of people who peddle and praise their own stuff exuberantly. It’s kind of hard to trust those people, yes?
So, anyway, there are 6 days left to enroll in this round of the PPVE (enrollment closes on January 27th at 9:00 PM Eastern). And if you’ve been considering joining us but just aren’t sure, we wanted to give you some insight that doesn’t come from us at all, so that you can maybe make a more informed decision about whether or not this is right for you.
We’ve asked every single person who’s joined us so far to tell us why they decided to sign up. It was really hard to pick excerpts from such a big group of people, but these are some of the ones we thought might resonate the most with you:
“I want to clarify my values and rethink my career search to end up energized and fulfilled by what I do, not drained and discouraged. Your virtual lunch-time hangout last week was like turning a flashlight on whichaspects of my job or other things I do bring me satisfaction. “I took the Passion Profile Quiz and I got Firestarter. It was like you guys looked inside my head with how accurate the description is of me. Thank you so much and I can’t wait to begin the whole PPVE process! I know it will help me in so many ways.” – Kayla
“I happened on the PPVE program mostly by accident, but it came along as if it was completely made for me. What we like about the reasons people gave is that there are so many different ones that span the full range of emotion: frustration, excitement, anticipation, fear, hope … and all of those are really normal to be experiencing when you want to figure out your passion and take action. There’s no “right” feeling when deciding to do an online program like this.
Instead, what all of the people who’ve joined us so far have in common is a sense of readiness. For one reason or another, they’ve decided that now is the time to figure out their passion.
We can’t decide for anyone if they’re ready for something like this. It’s more about trusting your gut than anything else. (Though we want to be incredibly transparent and let you know that this will be the last time the PPVE will be priced so low. The next time we run it, which will be in the late spring-ish, we’re intending to increase the price by at least $100. So, if you were thinking of doing it next time, just know that and do what you think is best!)
