Quick question: Have you ever said (or thought) something about your career like…
- “Something feels off, but I can’t figure out why.”
- “I should like this job, but I just don’t.”
- “Am I broken? Maybe I’ll never enjoy working.”
- “Has everyone else figured out something I haven’t?”
If you’re nodding along with that, you definitely need to hear this conversation we had about the 4 Passion Profiles. (Make sure you’ve taken the Passion Profile Quiz first!)
We talked about how we came up with the quiz, what it measures, the differences between the 4 potential results, and how to use your Profile to find your career direction.
After you’ve listened, leave us a comment below to let us know your Passion Profile result and how it resonates with you!
LAST DAY TO SAVE SOME $$$
Today, December 14, is the LAST day to get $50 off the Passion Profile Short Course with code HOLIDAY.
The PPSC is like a recipe for your career path. It’s the “secret sauce” that takes the thought out of trying to plot your career direction and prevents you from wasting years of your life hopping from job to job, hoping that you eventually stumble across something you love.
The PPSC is a quick, uncomplicated way to get unstuck. It’s designed to help you get clear on your career (and life!) direction in as little as 1 day.
It might be right for you if:
- You’re looking for a way to get un-stuck that doesn’t involve a lot of time, money, or complication (it’s a 5-ish hour video-based DIY course).
- You’ve been hoping for a simple answer to this whole “finding career direction” thing.
- You don’t know where to start and wish someone would tell you what to do about your career situation.
- You felt like your Passion Profile Quiz result described you really well, and you thought, “How can I get more of THIS?” when reading your result.
The PPSC is available 24/7, but until 11:59pm EST tonight you can save $50 off the usual price of the program with code HOLIDAY.
We’re also going to be offering a free, live Q&A workshop session to anyone who buys the PPSC during that window, as well as anyone who’s worked with us in the past.
The live Q&A workshop will be on Friday, January 11, at 1pm EST, which gives you plenty of time to complete the course and submit your Q’s ahead of time. There will be a video replay for those who can’t make it live! You’ll be automatically registered for the workshop and emailed a registration confirmation after you purchase the course.
(And for those of you who’ve done either of our courses, or worked with us 1-on-1 and would like to join the workshop, just email us at [email protected] and we’ll send you a registration link, too!)
Need more details? Check out the full PPSC page to see whether this is right for you.
I really appreciate this quiz and podcast. It really helped clarify things for me. I’m a Thriver completely and it was frustrating to feel like nothing I did fit. I was honestly worried I would never find a job I’d like, but I can understand now that it isn’t the job- it’s usually the hours. 8-5 is my own personal hell, especially if I’m not busy the entire time. It makes me feel like I’m wasting away. There is no balance there because I don’t have enough time after work to do the things I enjoy. You definitely nailed it and as I move forward from my current position it will help me search for a schedule that fits me better. Thank you!
So happy to hear that the quiz and podcast have been so clarifying for you! Balance is definitely HUGE for Thrivers, so it’s no wonder you feel like you’re wasting away when you spend all day working with barely any time for the things you *really* love in life. I absolutely believe you can find a schedule that feels more integrated with your life, instead of feeling like work is constantly stealing your time. Thanks for sharing! 🙂
This was seriously so helpful. I had taken the quiz a few times and got a couple different results, and I really didn’t identify 100% with either of them. I couldn’t understand it – did I somehow not fit into the system?? Everything else you both write and talk about is totally relevant and illuminating to me, but I couldn’t figure out why the Passion Profiles didn’t hit home for me. After listening to this podcast, I totally get it now. I have a secondary profile! I always thought of myself as a Tribe Member, but I’m easily bored and being part of a great team with a strong mission isn’t always enough to make me feel engaged and fulfilled. Because…I am also a Side Hustler! I love (and need) variety. I love having multiple jobs at one time. I’m passionate about so many things and I need to be working on multiple things at once to feel good about how I’m using my time.
Right now, I work at a nonprofit that has a great culture and a mission I believe in. But I haven’t been totally happy there, and I was getting so discouraged because I couldn’t figure out what was wrong. If I’m a Tribe Member, why wasn’t I loving my job?? Now it’s finally clear that to feel more fulfilled, I have to both diversify what I’m doing at the office (I’ve already started taking on new responsibilities beyond my department) and find something else outside the office (like additional work or even volunteering) that gives me a sense of meaning and keeps my brain busy! Thanks so much for making this clear to me. Now I can stop wallowing in my confusion/frustration/stagnation and move forward!
Hi Sarah — I’m so happy that learning about Secondary Profiles turned on a lightbulb for you! It sounds like your Tribe Member has been happy for a while, but your Side Hustler has been feeling a bit neglected. But now that you realize that, you can give more attention to the Side Hustler part of you!
Having two profiles does mean that you have to do a bit of a balancing act to get both sets of needs/values met, but it’s totally possible, and it sounds like you already have a pretty good idea of what that would look like for you. So happy this episode was so illuminating for you! 🙂
